As a Business Community, we must remain committed to growth and the future of our community. Each year the Chamber of Commerce recognizes local high school seniors for their outstanding academic achievements as well as their civil /community involvement. Scholarships are awarded annually to high school seniors who reside in West Haven. These students have shown exemplary academic discipline and leadership abilities and have chosen to continue their education to college or formal vocational training.

Copies of the application are also available upon request at your school's guidance office. Completed applications may be turned into the high school guidance office along with all of the required documents or mailed directly to the West Haven Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
For many years, Dodie (Gloria) Ireland was a pillar of the West Haven Community. Dodie dedicated herself to the advancement of the city as well as business and community revitalization and growth.
One of Dodie's most notable accomplishments was her work with this Scholarship Foundation. Dodie Ireland was committed to the growth of this program and encouraged high school students to pursue their goals and succeed in the business community.
Dodie (Gloria) Ireland will be remembered for her talent, energy, and the difference she made in the West Haven community.
